Our strong working relationship with Trent and Dove gave us the opportunity to work on St John’s Church Land, another extra care scheme based in Burton Upon Trent. Providing sheltered housing for 28 units, this new build is surrounded by existing residential areas, which have been at the forefront of all aspects of the design.

The brief for the scheme is similar to a non institutional theme but uses a completely different colour palette. The design is based on different aspects of outside space, resulting in a concept of ‘bring the outside, inside’. Attention was paid to the exterior materials, the exterior plants and the surrounding views.

Constant conversations with Ainsely Gommon architects, allowed a dialogue to be maintained and ensured the design was consistent throughout the whole scheme.
